The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660 “James Cameron” is a true icon of professional dive-watch engineering. Inspired by James Cameron’s record-breaking solo dive to the Mariana Trench, this model features the instantly recognisable D-Blue gradient dial, transitioning from deep blue to black to represent ocean depth. The substantial 44mm Oystersteel case incorporates Rolex’s patented Ringlock System, delivering an extraordinary 3,900 metres / 12,800 feet water resistance. Powered by the proven Rolex calibre 3135, this 2016 example is supplied as a full set, including box, warranty card, booklets and accessories. Presented in excellent condition, it offers outstanding value at £8,950, making it an ideal entry into the Deepsea range. The watch turned up, extremely well packed, and exactly as described - well, in actual fact, a lot better than described - it's fantastic and I'm really happy with it. Should you buy now, or wait? I don’t think there’s any need to wait anymore, prices are nice and stable, especially on the everyday pieces, like steel GMT’s, Submariner’s and Datejust models. Gold pieces are representing crazy value, now prices increased at retail, just a few days ago. They certainly won’t be getting any cheaper, after that.
