The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 116520 is one of the most important modern Daytona references, marking the first stainless-steel Daytona powered by Rolex’s in-house movement. This 2008 example features the classic black dial with contrasting sub-dials, housed in a 40mm Oystersteel case with polished tachymeter bezel and Oyster bracelet. Its balanced proportions and motorsport heritage make it one of the most wearable and collectible Daytona models. Powered by the legendary Rolex calibre 4130, renowned for its robustness, vertical clutch chronograph and long-term reliability, this watch is supplied as a full set including box, warranty card and booklets. Should you buy now, or wait? I don’t think there’s any need to wait anymore, prices are nice and stable, especially on the everyday pieces, like steel GMT’s, Submariner’s and Datejust models. Gold pieces are representing crazy value, now prices increased at retail, just a few days ago. They certainly won’t be getting any cheaper, after that.
