The Cartier Tank MC in 18‑karat rose gold (2013‑series calibre) is a striking rectangular wristwatch, with Cartier’s in‑house automatic movement, sapphire crystal (scratch‑resistant glass) and water‑resistance to 30 metres. This example from 2021 is offered in excellent pre‑owned condition and comes as a full set: original box, Cartier warranty card, and accompanying documentation. The case shows minimal wear — just light surface marks typical of gentle use — while the dial, hands and crown are immaculate and the strap/bracelet remains in excellent condition. On the wrist the Tank MC offers presence without being overbearing, the rose gold warms the silver or roman dial, and the overall build gives both elegance and a touch of boldness. As a dress watch it pairs well with formal wear but its robustness and gold case also allow it to work in less formal settings. The signature rectangular case shape, the flinqué dial details, and the rose gold crown with sapphire cabochon are all distinctive features of this model.

Should you buy now, or wait? I don’t think there’s any need to wait anymore, prices are nice and stable, especially on the everyday pieces, like steel GMT’s, Submariner’s and Datejust models. Gold pieces are representing crazy value, now prices increased at retail, just a few days ago. They certainly won’t be getting any cheaper, after that.
